The new partners have hardly had time to get used to each other when they are thrown into a grisly murder case. As evidence mounts up and more victims are found, Kit and Noah realize they are on the hunt for a serial killer. The problem is, he's hunting one of them too.
This was an action packed, very fast novel! I think most anyone who enjoys a suspenseful read would enjoy it. There were several twist and turns that kept me hooked and trying to figure out who the murderer indeed was and that in itself was a shocking revelation! Kit Kenyon, the heroin in the novel, is a hostage negotiator. She teams up with Noah Lambert and together they tag team a case in trying to find a serial killer.
With two people working so close together it's no surprise that there is a bit of romance in the novel. However with Noah's strong convictions in the Christian Faith, and Kit on the fence, it's a rocky go. What makes it even more engaging is that eventually the serial killer ends up hunting down one of them! One thing I learned from this novel is how life really shapes all of us. Sometimes we are dealt cards and find ourselves in situations for a reason beyond that of our knowing. Overall, this would be a great one to put on your summer reading list.
